These terms apply when you use the Rent+ website at rentplus.africa, including when you take part in our research surveys or join the waiting list. By using the site or participating, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or provide any information.

1. Research phase — no product offer

Rent+ is currently in a research and discovery phase. We are not offering any rental, property, or financial product. Nothing on this site is an offer or invitation to contract. Completing a survey or joining the waiting list does not create a contract with us and does not guarantee access to any future product or pilot.

2. Voluntary participation

Taking our surveys and joining the waiting list is entirely voluntary. You are not obliged to provide any information. By participating, you confirm that you are providing information freely and that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental or guardian consent if applicable).

3. How we use your responses

Survey responses and waiting list sign-ups are used to:

• Understand renter and developer needs and preferences.
• Shape the design and direction of future Rent+ products or services.
• Contact you about research updates or future pilot opportunities if you have given your email.

We may use responses in aggregated, anonymised form for research, reporting, or communication. We do not sell your personal information. For details on what we collect and how we protect it, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Accuracy and reliance

We aim to keep the information on this site accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose. You should not rely on this site for legal, financial, or property advice. Any decisions you make based on the site or our research are your own responsibility.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rent+ and its team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the site, participation in surveys, or joining the waiting list. This includes (without limitation) loss of data, loss of profit, or any other loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under South African law.

6. Use of the site

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it (e.g. by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malware, or interfering with the site or other users). We may suspend or restrict access if we believe you have breached these terms.

7. Changes

We may change these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site or participation after changes means you accept the updated terms.
